Report about the Internet and the Library
Topic: Internet and Library
Sub-topic: Using the Internet
Executive summary:
Internet is useful which makes it work.
Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that includes Internet Protocol Suite (TCP/IP) where many users are using in worldwide.
The important things about the internet is to make it work by connecting so that in the whole world wide that every users can use of the independent computers which makes it possible of the uses of a set of communication standards. Modern computers network technologies have an agency of the Department of Defense as it is an Arpanet of an agency. Even though for the interconnecting independent networks is created by the authors of architecture can be federated by not changing anything on the network.
Also it is defined that the internet is a top policy levels and tempting to view as a collection of the both was a computer and the networks to provide communications capabilities and information services. Other things about evolving the internet is revolutionizing society in every countries should estimate its importance on using it but if not estimated the internet won’t evolved as it makes the internet load far too slow which makes the server have problems on it.
By using the Internet is the easy way on connecting which makes it work on loading fast so that the server can work properly without any problems on the internet by the users. Also, they can use the internet in anytime such as for working using search engines, e-mails and others or sometimes have free time on using the internet such as playing game online watching videos and others as well in anywhere such as at home or at the internet cafe something like that.
Many people use the terms Internet and World Wide Web (or just the Web) interchangeably, but, as discussed earlier, the two terms are not synonymous. The World Wide Web is a global set of documents, images and other resources, referenced and interconnected by Uniform Resource Locators (URLs) and hyperlinks. These URLs allow users to address the web servers and other devices that store these resources and access them as required using the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP). HTTP is only one of the communication protocols used on the Internet. Web services may also use HTTP to allow software systems to communicate in order to share and exchange business logic and data.
The Internet is allowing greater flexibility in working hours and location, especially with the spread of unmetered high-speed connections and web applications.
The Internet can now be accessed almost anywhere by numerous means, especially through mobile Internet devices. Mobile phones, datacards, handheld game consoles and cellular routers allow users to connect to the Internet from anywhere there is a wireless network supporting that device's technology. Within the limitations imposed by small screens and other limited facilities of such pocket-sized devices, services of the Internet, including email and the web, may be available. Service providers may restrict the services offered and wireless data transmission charges may be significantly higher than other access methods.

Exercise 6
Business and technical reports
Game Machine:PS2(Playstation 2)
Executive Summary:
The PlayStation 2 (often shortened to PS2) is a sixth-generation video game console manufactured by Sony. The PS2 console is the sequel to the original PlayStation console. The successor to the PlayStation, and the predecessor to the PlayStation 3, the PlayStation 2 forms part of the PlayStation series of video game consoles. Its development was announced in March 1999 and it was released a year later in Japan. Its primary competitors were Sega's Dreamcast, Microsoft's Xbox, and Nintendo's GameCube.
Purpose:
Disk Read Error (DRE) Lawsuit
A class action lawsuit was filed against Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. on July 16, 2002, in the Superior Court of California, County of San Mateo. The lawsuit addresses consumer reports of inappropriate "no disc error" (disc read error) messages and other problems associated with playing DVDs and CDs on the Sony PlayStation 2.
Sony settled its “disc read error” lawsuit by compensating the affected gamers with USD $25, a free game from a specified list, and (of course) the reduced cost repair or replacement (at SCEA’s discretion) of the damaged system. This settlement was subject to the courts’ approval, and hearings began in the US and Canada on April 28, 2006, and May 11, 2006, respectively.[39]
Findings:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Playstation_2
Discussion:
Sony also manufactured a consumer device called the PSX that can be used as a digital video recorder and DVD burner in addition to playing PS2 games. The device was released in Japan on December 13, 2003 and though it was never released any where else, it can be found for sale in some of the Sony Style shops located in a number of countries. The PSX was poorly received in both areas, some major features were absent from the first revisions of the hardware and experienced very weak sales in spite of major price drops. The system is considered a rarity and is now selling for around $500 on eBay. The PSX (DVR) was also the first Sony product to include the XrossMediaBar interface.[24]
Conclusions:
Any People can call Playstation 2 as PS2 or PSX which it depends on them as they know that it can play both such as games from PS1 by pressing reset twice and DVD games on PS2 by pressing reset once.
Recommendations:
On November 29, 2005, the PlayStation 2 became the fastest game console to reach 100 million units shipped, accomplishing the feat within 5 years and 9 months from its launch. This achievement occurred faster than its predecessor, the PlayStation, which took 9 years and 6 months to reach the same benchmark.[14]

Appendices:
Sony released a version of the Linux operating system for the PS2 in a package that also includes a keyboard, mouse, Ethernet adapter and HDD. Currently, Sony's online store states that the Linux kit is no longer for sale in North America. However as of July 2005, the European version was still available. The kit boots by installing a proprietary interface, the run-time environment, which is on a region-coded DVD, so the European and North America kits only work with a PS2 from their respective regions.

Exercise 5
1.A hotel is an establishment that provides paid lodging on a short-term basis. The provision of basic accommodation, in times past, consisting only of a room with a bed, a cupboard, a small table and a washstand has largely been replaced by rooms with modern facilities, including en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning or climate control. Additional common features found in hotel rooms are a telephone, an alarm clock, a television, and Internet connectivity; snack foods and drinks may be supplied in a mini-bar, and facilities for making hot drinks.

by Whorton, Susan Stanley, Ph.D., Clemson University, 2009 , 182 pages; AAT 3355166
Abstract (Summary)
The purpose of this study was to investigate differences in the academic self-efficacy, academic integration, social integration, and persistence among community college students from a selected community college during their first semester at a four-year institution. More specifically, differences between students who participated in a first-year transfer transition program and students who did not participate in a transfer transition program were investigated. Using a quantitative cross-sectional survey research design, data regarding transfer students' academic self-efficacy and perceived cohesion beliefs were collected from a web-based survey. These data were analyzed along with students' first semester academic performance and persistence data collected from the student records database at a four-year institution following the students' first semester of enrollment.

Information Literacy Skills
1.What is information literacy skills?
To know how to study like knowing and it's a set of learning skills that lasts a lifetime and brings many rewards. Also to develop study skills competency.
2.What is SQRW?
Survey, Question, Read and Write.
3.Use Big 6 Skills(Step 1-6) of the topic you know best.
-My topic is about game machine that I know the best such as neo-geo arcade.
-MVS (Multi Video System),AES (Advance Entertainment System)
-Neo Geo Arcade console http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neo_Geo_(console)
Download Game Roms from romhustler.net
-Read from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neo_Geo_(console)
-Initially, the (AES) home system was only available for rent to commercial establishments, such as hotel chains, bars and restaurants, and other venues. When customer response indicated that some gamers were willing to buy a $600 console, SNK expanded sales and marketing into the home console market. Compared to the other 16-bit consoles of the time, Neo Geo's graphics and sound were vastly superior. Furthermore, since the AES was identical to its arcade counterpart, the MVS, arcade-titles released for the home market were, by definition, perfect translations. Although its high pricetag kept it out of the mainstream gaming market, a strong game-lineup likely contributed to the cult status of the Neo Geo, enabling it to outlast the more popular Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis
